SC12-ES Speakers
The Soundcraftsmen SC12-ES speakers was a 3-way acoustic suspensionspeaker system employing a 12-inch woofer, a mid-range driver and an electrostatic bi-polar radiator; which Soundcraftsmen trademarked as Reflecto-Static™. The speakers were built in mirror image pairs. Each spaker also had a 4-control front panel equalization panel which Soundcraftsmen described this way: "...the SC12-ES has four Equalizing Controls--for low, mid, hi, and ultra hi frequencies, so that YOU can adjust each speaker's front panel Equalizing Controls to match YOUR system, environment, and musical tastes, and fully realize the unprecedented capability, flexibility, and resultant great improvement in any fine component system." Soundcraftsmen went on to say, "SPECIFICATIONS are virtually meaningless as far as "measuring" a speaker's degree of tonal quality or musical performance. YOUR EARS are the only possible "measure" of acceptability."
